Notes

  • Again, FULL WORSHIP MINISTRY is leading this Sunday. We will have choir, orchestra, praise team, and rhythm section.

  • The choir anthem for Sunday is the acappela song, I Will Wait for You (Psalm 130), led by Danny Parkins. I will be out of town, and Eric Edgemon will be leading in my absence.

  • Reminder: in the month of June, there will be no Wednesday choir rehearsals. However, band/orchestra/praise team will rehearse on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00p. Full worship ministry (choir, orchestra, band, praise team) will lead every remaining Sunday in June.

  • In the month of July, there will be no Wednesday rehearsals at all. Each Sunday in July will be led by band/praise team only. Our worship ministry interest meeting will be July 30, and we will be back in action on August 3.

Prayer requests

  • Bridget Horner, whose parents are dealing with several health issues.

  • Mike Seal, who was in a motorcycle accident last week. He has some scrapes, bruises, and damage to his left knee.

  • Tracy Bruneau, diagnosed with breast cancer.

  • Betty Speck (soprano), recovering at home after rehab.

  • Mr. B (former choir member), recovering from open heart surgery at CRMC.

  • Jean/Joe Bargovan, dealing with several health issues.

An Extra

I just wanted to pass along a new song by our friends at CityAlight (the group that wrote Only a Holy God, Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me, among others). It’s a great encouraging song about how Christ overcomes.

Listen to the verses and how they progress through different themes highlighting Christ’s victory:

Verse 1: Christ overcomes trials and tribulations
Verse 2: Christ overcomes temptation and sin
Verse 3: Christ overcomes sorrow, sickness, and death

The bridge of the song is my favorite.

“The victory we need is the victory He won, so take heart; He has overcome.” Great writing, great truths. Listen and be encouraged today.

Have a great weekend and a wonderful Sunday worshipping Jesus,
Andy
