Jesus changes everything.
That's good news.

If you're ever around us, you'll notice that we talk an awful lot about "the Gospel."  But what is it?  In short, it means "good news."  It's a term we use to describe all that God has done for us in Jesus Christ and the response of faith He calls us to make.  When you understand the Gospel, you'll see why we talk about it, sing about it, preach about it, and share it with everyone we meet.  It really is the most important, life-changing news you'll ever hear.

Here's a brief summary.  If you have questions about this, or would like someone to help you place your faith in Jesus, just let us know. You can email us at info@stevensstreet.org.

God rules.

The Bible tells us God created everything, including you and me, and He is in charge of everything.

We sinned.

We all choose to disobey God. The Bible calls this sin. Sin separates us from God and deserves God's punishment of death.

God provided.

God sent Jesus, the perfect solution to our sin problem, to rescue us from the punishment we deserve. It's something we, as sinners, could never earn on our own. Jesus alone saves us.

Jesus gives.

He lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Because Jesus gave up His life for us, we can be welcomed into God's family for eternity.

We respond.

It's not enough to just know the Gospel; you must respond to the Gospel. Believe in your heart that Jesus alone saves you through what He's already done on the cross. Repent, turning from self and sin to Jesus. Tell God and others your faith is in Jesus.
