Diane Arms (Pastor Jimmy’s wife), recovering from heart surgery.
Terri Ritter’s sister-in-law, Adrienne, undergoing cancer treatments. Terri and Skip are helping take care of her.
Drucilla Ray (alto), who fell and hurt her back.
The family of Margie Copeland, who passed away last week.
An Extra
I mentioned a song last night in choir rehearsal that we played at Mrs. Margie’s funeral yesterday. It’s called It is Not Death to Die by our friends at Sovereign Grace Music. Check it out below.
Songwriters: this song is a good example of using a great “hook” line. “It is not death to die” is a memorable summary of the lyrics.
The historical fact of Christ’s resurrection has huge implications for us as believers! Because Christ has been raised, we have hope that death is not the end. We’ll talk a little more about this on Sunday with the sermon text coming up in 1 Corinthians, so I thought this would be a good song to hear today.
Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you Sunday.
