Our college students, many of whom will be serving during Spring Break at Panama Beach for “Beach Reach” and East TN for disaster relief.
Joyce Gentry, who fell and fractured her fibula.

An Extra
Here’s your periodic reminder that we have some great resources available to you for free in our church library. In particular, we have several great commentary collections, which are books that help you understand biblical texts.
You can pull the commentary that addresses the passage of Scripture you are researching, and read content summaries, notes about the historical background, and how Christians have interpreted it over the years. Commentaries can be very helpful tools when you are having difficulty interpreting a text, as long as you understand that commentaries are not perfect like God’s Word.
Rule of thumb: always read and pray through a text multiple times before turning to a commentary for help. The Holy Spirit speaks to every Christian through His Word, and you need to wrestle with a text on your own first! Then for some help, turn to a trusted commentary from a solid source. If you need help knowing what commentaries to use or how to use them well, feel free to reach out to me or any of our pastors.
My favorite recommendation in our church library now are the Christ-Centered Exposition series (pictured below in our library). Check them out sometime!
Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you Sunday.
