Happy Thursday!
We’ve got a great weekend coming up! Here’s what you need to know:
This Sunday
This Sunday, full worship ministry is leading. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:45am on stage. Choir will meet in the choir room at 9:30am.
Click below for the Scripture text and order of service, or to view/hear the music in Planning Center.
Notes
This Sunday is our church’s commissioning of Kingdom Community Church! Reminder: we will only have one service at 10:00a and no life groups. Call time will be 8:45a for band, orchestra, and praise team. Choir will meet in the choir room at 9:30a.
Remember: worship ministry will remain on stage the entire service this Sunday so we can be ready to play music throughout, and to help free up seating in the worship center. Instrumentalists are welcome to sit in the choir loft if you’d like to change chairs!
Anthems coming up:
Mar. 2: This Blood
Mar. 9: Alleluia, Amen!
Mar. 30: Is He Worthy
April 6: Mercy Tree
April 20: Risen Savior (Sing My Soul)

An Extra
Last night, I shared a few updates on some worship-ministry related things. Here’s the reader’s digest version if you missed it!
First, I’ve gotten a few questions about the worship center piano (now residing in the choir room). In short, that piano is not a dependable option for us to use for corporate worship right now. It has suffered damage over the years and it will not hold its tuning. This creates a myriad of sonic frustrations and headaches, so it’s time to set it aside for a while (you can tell people the piano is in time out). The excellent keyboard we are currently using on stage may not be our long term solution, but it’s the best way for us to move forward in retiring an instrument that has served us well for decades. The piano works great in the choir room and for School of Performing Arts recitals when we can tune it specifically for that event. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this.
Next, I’m happy to share that due to the church’s strong giving to the church budget in 2024, we are in the position to do some long overdue acoustic treatment in the worship center. These are special panels designed to absorb and reflect certain frequencies of sound in order to “tune” the room and maximize intelligibility and clarity. In other words, everything will sound better (helping people hear and sing better), and it is a crucial step in upgrading more audio components later on.
Last, due to generous designated giving, we will be replacing our failing projector system with two new LED walls. These walls will substantially improve the look of our space, and help everyone see the screens better. I anticipate all these improvements being completed before Easter, Lord wiling.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to replace some aging equipment (we’ve had most of our current gear since we built the building in 2003!), and I’m thankful for the season of health and growth that our church is seeing right now. It is God’s blessing. I pray that we will use His blessing to be a blessing to others for His glory.
Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you Sunday.
