Happy Friday!
Hope you are staying safe and warm! Here’s what you need to know this cold, cold week:
This Sunday
This Sunday, full worship ministry is leading. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage.
***Please note that we are rescheduling “Is He Worthy” to March. I’d like to have a good full rehearsal with that one before we sing it.
Click below for the Scripture text and order of service, or to view/hear the music in Planning Center.
Notes
Sunday, March 2 is our church’s commissioning of Kingdom Community Church. On that day, we will only have one service at 10:00a and no life groups. Call time will be 8:45a for band, orchestra, and praise team. Choir will meet in the choir room at 9:30a.
Anthems coming up:
Mar. 2: This Blood
Mar. 9: Alleluia, Amen!
Mar. 30: Is He Worthy
Prayer requests
Debbie Baker’s dad, who fell and had hip surgery. He has been moved to a nursing facility.
Amanda Johnson (alto) recently found out she was expecting twins and has experienced a pregnancy loss in the past couple days of one or both babies. Please pray for comfort for Colby and Amanda.
Reagan Bagci, who will be having another surgery to replace his allograft.
Betty Speck, started cancer radiation.
Richard Miller (Glee’s husband) who has cancer.
An Extra
Here’s a short article about congregational singing with a fun baseball anecdote (in honor of Major League Baseball Spring training starting this week) that really connects to the Christus Victor theme we’ve been talking about the past few weeks.
If Jesus has truly won the victory for us over sin and death, isn’t that worth celebrating? And shouldn’t that joy-filled, unified celebration with our church family take priority over our musical preferences? It’s a good reminder for us all.
See you Sunday,
Andy
