I hope you have recovered from a busy (but glorious!) weekend. Here’s what you need to know this week.
This Sunday
This Sunday will be led by band and praise team only. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage.
***We are starting our Christmas - New Year break, so choir and orchestra will return to leading worship on Sunday, January 12.
The sermon text for the day comes from Luke 2:8-20, and Pastor Scott will be preaching.
We’re singing Joy to the World, Behold Our God, Only a Holy God, and Come All Ye Faithful.

Here’s a quick run down of the schedule for the next few weeks:
Sunday, Dec. 22 - services led by band/praise team only
Tuesday, Dec. 24 - Christmas Eve service (band/praise team only)
Sunday, Dec. 29 - services led by band/praise team only
Sunday, Jan. 5 - services led by band/praise team only
Wednesday, Jan. 8 - Wednesday evening rehearsals resume
Sunday, Jan. 12 - services led by full worship ministry, kids choirs/student worship arts resumes
An Extra
I just wanted to express an extra big thank you to you all for your hard work and preparation in presenting Christmas in Cookeville. I thought both services went great. Hosting it at our church this year brought on some brand new challenges we’ve never faced before, and everyone pulled together to overcome every challenge.
Whether it was building choir risers from scratch, moving our entire army of instrumentalists to another place, running countless new audio cables, learning difficult music, or tackling the mountain of administrative tasks and communication, it was so fun to see everyone doing their part to make this a reality. We couldn’t have done it without every individual team member serving so faithfully.
Thank you for making much of Jesus. It’s a joy to lead worship with you week after week. I’m looking forward to 2025 and all that the Lord brings our way!
