Happy Thursday!
Here’s what you need to know this week.
This Sunday
Full worship ministry is leading, along with kids and students! Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage. Choir meets in the choir room at 8:35am.
The sermon text for the day comes from Ephesians 4:1-12, and Pastor Scott will be preaching.
We’re singing The Sound of the Saints, All Creatures of Our God and King, His Mercy is More, and What a Friend We Have in Jesus.
Notes
Multigen Day is this Sunday! It will be great to have kids and students leading worship with us.
Just your periodic reminder: the access code to the backstage choir room area is 2064. Please do not share this code with anyone outside worship ministry.
Christmas in Cookeville has been scheduled for December 13 and December 15. Please mark your calendars and plan to be a part! It’s going to be great.

An Extra
I wanted to share a video of the new congregational song that we will be learning over the next few weeks. We’ll sing this for the first time on October 13.
Besides having a good, singable, and memorable melody, this song will fit nicely in our “diet” of worship songs because it focuses on a specific theme that we need to sing about more: God’s ongoing presence with us as His people.
For those who follow Jesus, we never have to wonder if God is with us. We have an enduring confidence based on His trustworthy word that we will never walk alone. His Spirit dwells with us as we walk through life following after our Savior and High Priest who, as a man, walked the same road that we walk.
The implications of this doctrine are staggering. We have courage to combat fear. We have power to overcome temptation. We have peace to endure trials. We have the heart of Christ to serve.
Listen and take courage today that God is with you.
See you Sunday,
Andy
