Full worship ministry is leading. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage. Choir meets in the choir room at 8:35am.

The sermon text for the day comes from Matthew 13:31-35, and Pastor Scott will be preaching.

Notes

  • All regularly scheduled rehearsals and ministries are back on Sundays and Wednesdays! As always, please remember to do your best to be on time. It’s courteous to everyone and helps us do our best as a team.

  • We are in need of a few volunteers to help with kids choirs and student ministry worship on Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:00p. If you are available to help, please contact April (alangford@stevensstreet.org).

  • Reminder: sign up for Worship Weekend here. It’s next Friday night and Saturday and it’s going to be a great!

Prayer requests

  • Colby Johnson, Amanda’s (alto) husband, who is in a detox facility.

  • Drucilla Ray, who had a good scan report, but they found a kidney stone.

  • Thomas Jacobs (piano), who is undergoing chemo treatment and immunotherapy for lung cancer.

  • Ashley Michael (alto) recovering from cancer surgery.

  • Pat Bowman (soprano), recovering from cancer surgery.

  • Skip Ritter, recovering from back surgery.

An Extra

I just wanted to pass along the new song by CityAlight. It’s a good one, written around the theme that God’s glory is our good. In John Piper’s excellent book, Desiring God, he unpacks this very idea:

The chief end of men is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.

We were made to find our satisfaction in God, and we find our true hearts’ delight when He is glorified in us. Check it out!

See you Sunday,
Andy
