Worship Ministry Weekly Update

Happy Thursday!

I am so glad to be sending you these Thursday updates again! Thank you for your prayers, kind words, and encouragement these past few weeks while I’ve been on my sabbatical. This time away was such a great blessing to me and my family, and a gracious gift from our church family to us. More on that below.

This Sunday

These services will be led by band and praise team only. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage.

The sermon text for the day comes from Malachi 2:10-16, and Pastor Scott will be preaching.

We’re singing To God Be the Glory, God the Uncreated One, Lord Have Mercy, and Jesus Paid It All.

An Extra Big Thank You

I am so grateful for the time given to me and my family to be refreshed and renewed. During my sabbatical time, I was able to make intentional investments in my family relationships, as well as my own spiritual health and schoolwork. I’ll try to organize some thoughts to share with you in the weeks to come.

For now, I just want to express my deep appreciation for the way you all served our church so faithfully during my absence. I had every confidence that the Gospel would continue to be celebrated, preached, and sung, and I’m so glad that it was! Thank you for showing up and making much of Jesus.

A special thank you to all the key leaders who put in extra time to lead and handle all the little (and unexpected!) things: Isaac, Mark, and Eric for leading worship, Kasey, Felicia, Scott, and Megan for handling extra A/V needs, and Danny, Nando, and Stacie for preparing the choir anthems. I know there were also other things taken care of by people that I may not even be aware of. Well done, everyone!

And I want to say one extra special thank you to April, who had a hand in pretty much everything and kept everyone (including our pastors) on the same page week after week. Between our worship ministry and School of Performing Arts, April shoulders so much for our church and continually serves with joy, humility, and excellence. Thank you, April!

Remember, Sunday will be led by band and praise team only. But I’ll see you all around, and I’m excited for everyone to be back at the end of July.

Have a great weekend,
- Andy
