Here’s one last bonus worship ministry update for you as I start my sabbatical tomorrow.
A “thank you”
Thank you for the thoughtful time of prayer after we finished singing yesterday. I am grateful for your kind words and encouragement.
A “save the date”
I wanted to put one date on your radar before I leave and before the Summer crazy hits: on August 16-17, we are planning a special first-ever worship ministry retreat, hosted here on church campus. The purpose of this weekend will be to kick-off the year, sit under some great biblical teaching and encouragement tailored specifically to worship ministry people, and receive some practical training in worship leadership.
We will have some special guests joining us as our main speakers and worship leaders, including Mike Harland—former Director of Lifeway worship—whom some of you know already. This will likely be a Friday evening, Saturday morning-through-lunch kind of event, and I’d love every single one of our worship ministry members to participate if possible. So please, mark your calendars. More details on this when I get back!

I’m looking forward to being back with you again soon. Stay faithful. Stay prayerful. Keep a laser focus on Jesus and help our church sing the Song He’s given them.
