Worship Ministry Weekly Update

Happy Thursday!

Here’s what you need to know this week:

This Sunday

Full worship ministry is leading - choir, band, and orchestra. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage. Call time for choir is 8:30am in the choir room.

The sermon text for the day comes from 1 John 2:15-17, and Pastor Scott will be preaching. The big anthem, Isn’t the Name, is up!

We’re singing This is the Day, 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord), Grace Greater Than Our Sin, and Isn’t the Name.

An Extra - see you soon!

This will be the last worship ministry update that you will receive from me for a little while, as I begin my sabbatical next week. Here are a couple notes for you in the weeks ahead:

  • I will not be checking my church-related communications while I’m out, so if you have any questions, please direct them to one of the other pastors, April, or Isaac.

  • The best practical thing you can do to ensure things run smoothly is to (1) be here, and (2) be here early. It will serve those who are leading you immensely if you will do those two things.

  • I plan to be back in the office on June 26.

  • The church needs to keep singing. I know you will help them do that with hearts of faith.

Again, I’m thankful for a church who invests in the longevity of her pastors like Stevens Street does. If you think about me and my family, I’d covet your prayers as I take a step out of church ministry for a few weeks, cultivate my relationship with the Lord, and make some progress with my schoolwork.

I am so thankful for you all. I’ll see you Sunday.

- Andy
