Happy Thursday!
Here’s what you need to know this week:
This Sunday
Full worship ministry is leading - choir, band, and orchestra. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage. Call time for choir is 8:30am in the choir room. The big anthem, Thank You Jesus for the Blood, is up!
The sermon text for the day comes from Acts 2:14-41, and Pastor Scott will be preaching.
We’re singing Revive Us Again, All Creatures of Our God and King, On That Day, and Thank You Jesus for the Blood.
Notes
Just a quick schedule reminder to block off Good Friday (March 29). We are planning a Good Friday worship service for that evening. You can find the plan for that evening’s service in Planning Center, under “Special Services.”
Next Sunday, March 3, will be another “multigen Sunday” when we are joined by kids and students on the platform to lead worship. For that reason, as usual, next Wednesday’s rehearsal will look a little different.
Last night we had one of our periodic reminders about the dress code for worship ministry. If you missed it, you can find the highlights here. As always, thank you for your help in this.
Prayer requests
Betty Speck’s sisters, Donna (liver and kidney failure) and Ann (bad fall).
Praise: Mike Seals procedure went well and he is recovering quickly.
Teri Anderson’s grandson, Cooper, as he goes to Prisoner of War training for three weeks.
Praise: Reagan Bagci’s scans came back clear. He has allograft surgery scheduled for March 11.
Joe French, placed on hospice care.
An Extra
In case you missed it, our School of Performing Arts is gearing up to offer a brand new homeschool band program. Here’s an intro video and our webpage about it.
It’s our hope to engage students who are not in the public schools and provide a quality ensemble experience for them under the gospel ministry of our church. This is a big undertaking for us that we are very excited about, and there are a few ways you can help if the Lord is stirring in your heart:
Help us spread the word! Share our website or social media posts, and let anyone interested know about the upcoming interest meeting on March 21 at 6pm in Building GA.
Help us find instruments! If you have a quality brass or woodwind instrument lying around that you aren’t using, we’d love to help take it off your hands.
Help financially support a student. Many homeschool students come from multiple child, single-income families. If you’d like to help sponsor a band participant to ease the financial burden, just reach out to April.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am praying you have a great weekend and that you come to church Sunday ready to lead our church in treasuring Christ together!
