Festival of Nativities - December 14th

In case you missed the announcement the past couple of weeks: We are holding a churchwide fellowship on the evening of December 14th from 4:30-6:30, called the Festival of Nativities. The worship ministry will be providing live music throughout the evening. If you’re interested in playing or singing with a group for about 10 minutes, send April an email at alangford@stevensstreet.org. We’ll be getting those groups organized in the next couple of weeks.

Here’s the schedule of the anthems we have coming up for the rest of the year:

November 23 - Break Every Chain

December 7 - He Who Is Mighty

December 14 - Let the People Sing Joy

December 21 - Noel (He Is Born)

Upcoming Schedule

December 21 - Final Sunday morning of full worship ministry

Prayer Requests

  • We rejoiced on Wednesday in hearing the news that Reagan Bagci is cancer-free! His surgery on his lungs is scheduled for today, so keep covering him in prayer.

  • Continue to pray for Tracy Bruneau as she moves through these final months of chemo treatments.

  • Judy Ullery has been dealing with some health issues for several weeks. Medications do not seem to be working. Pray for healing for Mrs. Judy and for wisdom as they seek proper treatment for her.

  • Elaine Seal was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. Pray for her as they look ahead to the next steps toward treatment.

  • Stacy Burton’s mom passed away this week.

  • Peggy Carr’s sister, Lisa, is dealing with a concussion from a hit to her head.

  • Madison Rawls has an MRI today. Mandy shared with us on Wednesday that Madison is struggling with much discomfort from a pressure sore she’s had for a while, which is preventing her from being able to rest well.

  • Darlene Holder’s sister, Linda, recently had surgery and is at NHC for rehab, but she’s struggling with much sickness to her stomach.

  • Betty Chaffin’s nephew, Jimmy Horn, is in the hospital with pneumonia and cancer in his neck.

  • David has asked for prayers for Nathan Honeycutt Sr, who is in the hospital.

  • Kenny Decker, who has served in our orchestra during his time at TTU (and is about to graduate!), was in a car accident on Tuesday evening. Everyone in the vehicle was uninjured, but Kenny’s car is likely totaled. He’s asking for prayers for peace of mind and for a smooth process in moving through this situation.

  • Pray for the man God is preparing to be our next Worship Pastor. Pray for our church leadership and the search team as they work through the process.
