ORDER OF WORSHIP

Message from Lee Bailey

Hello, Worship Ministry!

Am I getting a sense that the worship ministry is growing??  How crazy is that?

Do you know how unusual it is for a ministry like this to grow in size after a beloved, long-tenured leader steps away?

As I said in the first meeting we had after Andy left, the mark of good leadership is how things go when the leader is gone or leaves.

So, the growth of this ministry, the heart of this ministry, the community within this ministry, the competency of the individuals within the ministry and the Christ-centered worship are all elements that have Andy Hammond’s fingerprints.

I also believe that God is honored when your heart wants to worship without stipulations.  In other words, you don't say things like:

I want to worship ..... as long as it’s pretty outside.

I want to worship ..... if I can get there early enough to get my seat.

I want to worship ..... as long as my spouse and I are getting along.

I want to worship ..... as long as we sing the songs I want to sing.

Nope, you say:

I want to worship.

Period.

End of sentence.

And I appreciate that leadership thread in you more than you know! Keep it up!  Every week we have people in our congregation who are looking for answers.  And we have them!

Be blessed and enjoy our fall break!
