Happy Thursday!
Here’s what you need to know this week:
This Sunday
It’s Multigen Sunday! Thanks to everyone for making our rehearsal with the kiddos run smoothly last night. Since we have a few extra moving pieces this week, we’ll try to stay a couple of minutes ahead of our normal schedule on Sunday morning. Call time for instrumentalists, praise team, and A/V is 8:00am on stage. Call time for choir is 8:30am in the choir room. Make sure to welcome any students that may filter into the choir room!
Danny Parkins will be leading this Sunday. View the order of worship below!
Message from Lee Bailey
Hello, Worship Ministry!
This past Sunday we heard a great sermon from Pastor Scott about being courageous. Courage takes many forms.
It can be standing up to opposition (like the 3 Hebrew boys did in the passage on Sunday), or it can also be standing up to your own sinful impulses. I have found that standing up to my own selfish desires, pushing them aside and doing what God is calling me to do in any one moment is more often my call to courage than standing up to a king's demand that I worship an idol.
Yes, dealing with internal forces, my flesh, is much more the daily battle than dealing with outside forces.
I encourage you in these days, stand up to the inner, selfish, sinful, lazy voice in your head that tells you that you don't have time to read God's Word, you don't have time to help that person, you don't need to be the one who reaches out, you shouldn't have to apologize, etc.....
Instead, act courageously as you accept responsibility to be the one who initiates reconciliation, or the one who gets up early to study God's Word or the person who changes their schedule to help someone.
Thank you, for not only leading on Sunday, but for leading during the week. I am blessed to be able to serve with you at SSBC!
Be Blessed!
Upcoming Schedule

Prayer requests
Continue to pray for Bridget’s parents as they adjust to her mom being back home.
Tracy Bruneau began her final push on chemo treatments this morning. Pray for her in the coming days as her body handles the treatment.
Darlene Holder’s sister had a rough fall last weekend and broke her arm. Pray for her as she deals with upcoming surgery and healing.
Pray for the man God is preparing to be our next Worship Pastor. Pray for our church leadership and the search team as they work through the process.
Song Feature
One of the things people often point out about Stevens Street is how they love seeing scripture references on the screen while singing. Unfortunately, those of us leading worship don’t get as much opportunity to soak in that particular element of the service from the platform. At the bottom of the weekly update, we’ll start featuring one song from our set each week with the associated scripture passages that are listed on the screens. Since we only display one reference per slide, use this as a starting point for your own further study of God’s Word as it relates to what we’re singing that week!
