A Message from Lee Bailey
Hello, Worship Ministry!
As we walk through July, we are getting closer and closer to having full worship ministry back in full swing! That means rehearsals on Wednesdays and full choir/orchestra/band on Sunday mornings!
Our congregation trusts you to lead us as we worship. I want you to enjoy the short break and get ready for a great rest of 2025.
Speaking of 2025, let me give you a little information as I have it.
Who is leading worship?
For the rest of July, and for the first 2 weeks of August, Eric Edgemon will be leading us on Sunday mornings.
Who will be leading the choir on Wednesday rehearsals?
Most weeks, the rehearsal schedule will go like this: April Langford will rehearse the choir while the person leading on Sunday mornings (Eric for the first 2 weeks after we are back) will run through the set list with the band and orchestra.
As usual, the choir will join the band and orchestra on stage at the end of rehearsal.
I will likely be there at the end of rehearsal to pray with you and hopefully encourage you as we walk through this season together.
Search team?
We will be forming a search team as soon as pastor Scott returns from his trip to the UK to have several meetings with the IMB and IMB missionaries.
I would like to ask each of you to be praying about the search team and if you would like to make a suggestion as to who might be a good candidate to serve on our search team, email me directly at lbailey@stevensstreet.org.
We are looking for people who are known as prayerful people, who will be able to give significant time to research, meetings and, when the time comes, going to visit other churches in which we might have a potential candidate.
Most likely, the search team will be made up of no more than 7 people, and not all of them will come from the worship ministry. We will likely include 1 or 2 people from the congregation who are active, engaged worshippers.
As always, I want you to know you are loved and we will not only "get through" this season, we will enjoy the journey together!
Be Blessed!
