Notes
Thank you for your love and outpouring of support in honor of Mr. Harold Howell. You have honored him well, and I know the family feels your love in this difficult time.
Last night during choir, I mentioned the possibility of using an iPad to read our worship ministry sheet music using the Planning Center Music Stand app. This feature is free you to use, and pretty simple to set up. All you need is an iPad (or other tablet), then just download the Music stand app for Apple or Android app here. You’ll need to log in to your Planning Center account the first time you open the app.
If you have not received a text message from our church worship ministry number, please let Andy or April know so we can check into things on our end. The number you’ll receive texts from is (931) 535-5999. It’s a good idea to add this number to your phone contacts.
Upcoming Impact Summit dates - April 23-26. Full worship ministry will lead services at 6:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.
Prayer Requests
The family of Harold Howell
Mike Seal, who has an obstructed kidney and will be getting a stint
David Barrett, whose cancer has returned. He will be going through another round of treatments.
Brian Ledbetter’s mother, Kay, who fell and broke her tibia and fibula. Jennifer and Brian will be giving her around-the-clock care.
Betty Speck, struggling with 2 bulging discs, and looking at heart surgery on April 18
Looking to pray something specific for our church? Pray Ephesians 3:16-19.
An Extra
Looking to dig deeper into studying worship? Here’s a quick book recommendation: What Happens When We Worship, by Jonathan Landry Cruse. This is one of the best books on the theological basics of corporate worship that I’ve ever read. It’s not a particularly long book, and it’s written in a way that’s easy to understand.
The book goes into detail about the formative power of worship, the relationship between God and His people, the authority of Scripture as God’s Word, and the “anatomy” of a worship service. After reading and understanding what is truly happening in corporate worship, it’s hard to ever see Sundays as “boring” or “monotonous” again. If you read it, let me know what you think!
