UPDATE ON START DATE FOR THE WORD
While working on plans for THE WORD today, I realized that I gave you the incorrect start date when we met on Sunday. I mixed it up with the date that our students and CYAM will move to different rooms. Here is the correct info:
August 2nd - Reading plans will be made available to the church
August 9th - THE WORD series will begin

WHAT IS THE WORD?
If you were unable to attend Sunday’s Life Group Leader meeting, you may be wondering what is “THE WORD”?
THE WORD is a series that aligns ministries around the same passage of Scripture while incorporating spiritual disciplines that help people take steps as a disciple. Our church will be going through a 52-week reading plan together to help people become a disciple that follows Jesus, is changed by Jesus, and joins the mission of Jesus.
Leading up to August 9th, my goal is to share something about THE WORD every week so you can continue to have a better understanding of what it is and how you as a Life Group Leader will play such a vital role in this being a success for our church.
NEW ROOM LOCATIONS FOR LIFE GROUPS
Another topic covered at the meeting was how our student ministry and CYAM have grown over the last year. Because of this growth, our student ministry will begin using the entire G building on Sunday mornings for Life Groups. Our CYAM groups will move into classroom in the C hallway of our main building. Because of this, we are moving some of our Life Groups to different locations. After evaluating the Year-to-date attendance numbers for our 9a Life Groups, most of our 9a groups will move to a different location as well so groups can be in rooms that are better suited for their size.
Groups will move to their new locations on Sunday, June 28th. This will allow us to get everyone settled in their new locations before students and our CYAM move. It also prevents us from having too many people looking for new locations on Promotion Sunday (August 2nd for our kids, students, and our CYAM).
UPDATED CARE CENTER NEEDS (APRIL)
In an effort to create another opportunity for you and your Life Group to serve together, we have created a list of monthly needs for our Care Center. Instead of saying that general donations are needed, we felt it was best to designate a specific need for each month so it is simple for people to know how they can contribute. We hope you find this is an easy way to encourage your group to impact the world together.
The current needs for this month are:
Men’s jeans
Bedding
All items can be placed in the Care Center donation box next to the Fellowship Hall.

May 10th - Mother’s Day; no PM activities
May 24th - Combined worship service at 10a; no childcare provided or PM activities
June - July - No Sunday PM activities
July 8th - No PM activities
August 2nd - Reading plans for The Word will be made available to the church, Promotion Sunday for kids, students, and CYAM
August 9th - The Word series will begin
