Welcome to Fusion, the youth ministry of SSBC! Fusion seeks to provide teens in grades 7-12 an opportunity to worship the one and true God, mature in their faith through studying God’s Word and to serve in ways that allow them to put their faith into action.

The leaders of Fusion desire to patiently invest in the lives of teenagers as they begin to explore their identity, question their beliefs, and put their faith into action.  Instead of trying to bring youth to Jesus through entertainment, Fusion strives to challenge them in their relationship with Christ and in how that relationship connects with relationships they have at home, at school, and in the community.

 

 

Leader bio

Dave Kruse serves as our Student Minister.  He has been working with teenagers in some capacity since 1993, starting as a volunteer and first serving as a minister in 2002.  He holds a B.B.A. from Belmont University and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education and Leadership from Southern Seminary.  When Dave is not immersed in the lives of teens, their families, and his leaders, he loves to spend time with his wife Melissa, read a good book, enjoy a great cup of coffee, listen to music or play video games.
