Becoming a Member is Simple

We believe God’s desire for any Christian is membership in a local body of believers.  This is something that God places on the heart of a believer.  God may be moving in your life through His Word, people and circumstances to place you exactly where He wants you to be.  That may be here at Stevens Street Baptist Church. The scripture tells us that God “placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.” (1 Cor. 12:18) If this is what is happening in you, it is our hope to make this a simple but clear step for a great future. To become a member at Stevens Street:

• You need to have been saved.
• You need to have followed through with believer’s baptism.
• You need to attend the New Member Connection.

New Member Connection

The Connection is a series of four meetings beginning at 10:30 am each Sunday in Building D and a final meeting with the Minister of Outreach and Christian Development.  A new session begins the first Sunday of each month, except for December.

At the New Member Connection you will have an opportunity to discover the church purpose and the church's ministries (in which you will have opportunity to serve or to be served).  Church membership is discussed and opportunity is given to ask questions.  During this meeting, someone will help you find a small group if you do not already have one. If you desire more information on the New Member Connection, you can either contact us (931-526-6398) or you may go ahead and pre-register for our next meeting of the New Member Connection.
