Sunday Classes
Classes for babies (0-6 months), crawlers, walkers, and experienced walkers are offered during both Sunday morning services (9
:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) on the first floor of Building B. These classes teach children about love, trust, and security, all of which are foundational aspects of a child’s understanding and acceptance of God’s love. The volunteers who work in the Preschool Ministry help babies and toddlers know how special and unique God made them, helping them understand that God loves them and has a special plan for them.
Two classes for 2 year olds, two classes for 3 year olds, two classes for 4 year olds, and one class for 5 year olds are offered during both Sunday morning services (9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.) on the second floor of Building B. Wednesday Classes
A class for babies (0-2 years) is offered during the Wednesday evening service (6:00 p.m.) on the first floor of Building B.
A class for toddlers (2 years - pre-K), called Worship Kidstyle, is offered during the Wednesday evening service (6:00 p.m.) on the second floor of Building B.
Preschool Choir
Children’s Choirs are the foundational stage of the Worship Ministry at SSBC. Beginning at age three and continuing through the 6th grade, the preschool and children’s choirs teach carefully designed standards and objectives which will serve as a base for children’s spiritual and musical development. All Children’s Choir meet on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor of the C wing, unless otherwise indicated.
Little Levites
Lambs and Eagles – age 3-4: These preschool choirs are combined for Fall 2010 and are directed by Jennifer Acuff, who is assisted by Cassie Putman and Tonya Bryant
Lions – age 5-K: This choir is directed by Julie Galloway, who is assisted by Drucilla Ray.
Playdates
Moms of preschoolers meet on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month, from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., at Wiggle Time on Jefferson Ave. This is an opportunity for moms to be encouraged and to grow in relationships with other moms. It is also a good time for preschoolers to make new friends and learn how to get along with each other. Moms should bring a lunch for themselves and their child(ren). Note: In September, there WILL NOT be a Playdate meeting on the 1st Monday because of Labor Day. Playdates will begin again on the 3rd Monday of September.
