Joel Wood is currently serving as our Interim Pastor
Before taking the role as interim pastor of Stevens Street Baptist Church, Joel Wood was senior pastor of Hixson Baptist in Chattanooga for 20 years from 1988-2008 and was recently interim pastor for White Oak Baptist in Chattanooga for the year following.
He is married to his wife, Diane, and has 4 children, 3 of which are married and one at home attending college. He enjoys spending time with his 10 grandchildren, gardening, and sports, but Pastor Wood's main passion is preaching God's Word and mentoring others in the faith.
