Baptism

SSBC observes and practices believers baptism by immersion (Acts 2:38, Acts 8:12, Acts 22:16) as a visible demonstration of the transformation of the heart (Col 2:12).

Baptism is for anyone who has made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ by repenting of sins and committing his or her life to Christ. Water baptism is a symbol, or rather a testimony, of the life transformation that has ALREADY occurred in the life of the believer. For those wishing to be baptized at SSBC, we offer an informative baptism class that meets each Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm in room B102. You may schedule your baptism after attending this class.
